What does Ezra 3:8 mean?
In the second month of the second year after they arrived in Jerusalem, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Jeshua son of Jozadak, and the rest of their people—the priests, Levites, and everyone who had returned from exile—started the work. They put the Levites who were twenty years old and up in charge of overseeing the work on the Lord’s house. Ezra 3:8 - Modern Text Bible
(A year after arriving, they officially began rebuilding the temple, putting the Levites in charge of the project, just like in the old days.)
